Re: PKC
Tom A , Take what as an insult lol.... The club has discussed this issue and had nothing more to offer than any of the other K.C.'s. If you have any questions on this subject call me.

Re: PKC
I was wondering the samething. a friend of mine thats a president of his pkc club has ask me why we don't have them here. i was told you guys have talked about it but didn't want it. as far as being a "real coonhunting state" we don't have the raccoon population those state do. those guys can harvest 300 coon a year and not effect the population.

Re: PKC
We've talked about it before. I think we have our hands full just putting on UKC and now AKC events. How many PKC dogs are around here? There aren't that many UKC dogs, let alone PKC. AKC is easy and cheap and easy to get dogs registered. PKC makes you DNA them, and join PKC as a memeber, then the fees to Reg a dog.
The last time I checked, most of us that do the Nite Hunts don't feel winning casts, money and titles with MINUS Points in PKC, is "real coonhunting."

Re: PKC
Cassandra, PKC is actually the easiest one to register with and the only one of the 3 mentioned that accepts crossbreed dogs and allows crossbreed hounds to compete with the registered hounds in nite hunts.............ACHA is the other.Redwood Coonhounds wrote:We've talked about it before. Cost $25 to register a PKC dog - no other fees --whether registered or crossbreed............that DNA stuff don't come unless your hunting the program hunts like SS and etc.....then those other fees also come into play.
