I think you all should go down to Hawn and have a drink.

Cow elk

Ike,
No my friend had a landowner tag, and I was with him. I don't hunt out that way to much. I cannot remember the name of where we were hunting other than I know we went up Indian canyon. We must have made it out before the snow I guess.

Lion Rating

Post by Dogger »

Ike,
I enjoyed the story about your dogs running a four day old lion track while being snowed on, sounded good! My question is this; I went hunting this weekend on an over the counter unit on day old snow and caught three mature lions in one day, two of which my hunters killed. How would I be rated? Do I get above a Lion Hunter 101?

Four Aces, I'm damn happy if I can get a pair of Kings or even a high card Ace.

It's good to see living history is still being made on the internet. :D

Nolte,

You don't have four aces? Well buddy, you are in luck because I just happen to have the deal of the century for you. ;)

I have a whole kennel full of Aces, dog power that is so great, most normal humans can't abide it's presence for very long without catastrophic total organ failure. Hounding greatness that will make game climb trees just by the dogs arrival on the mountain.

I've seen 8 foot toms and 600 lb bears just run up the nearest tree when these dogs were turned loose from the box. Normally, I would never allow such dog power to fall into the hands of a mere mortal, but I just happen to be having a little Christmas sale and you are in luck my friend.

Here is what I need you to do. Go to your bank and withdraw all of your money, cash out any stock options you may have and cash out any IRA's or your 401K and then take out a home equity line.

Then just tell me how much that totals up to be and I'll tell you if it will get you one World Beater Ace or maybe even two... because I have a big heart and I'm a generous person. Get the money gathered up and then prepare to enter a world of hounding greatness never before witnessed by the naked human eye.

No need for references or a resume of the dog... about like every other dog I've ever seen on the internet... ya know, 2 years old and has seen 55 lions, 240 bears and caught 37 bobcats on the dirt.

I guess it's just your lucky day my friend... because normally I would never sell the Aces but for you I'm going to make an exception just this once. ;)

Let me know when that money is all gathered up amigo and I'll have my accounting firm contact you about the shipping fees. ;)

lion hunting

Ike,
ha ha ha, sorry about confusing the four day old track thing. It was prob from one of your other stories. In your little story I liked the part about your dogs and how they were "Aces." It made me wonder though were the joker fits in? Keep the stories coming.

Oh and by the way I know I'm not the first person to catch a lion or more than one. I was just curious as to how I would be rated on your little rating scale. . .

I'm assuming those are all solo, cause I don't want a second tier dog.

I don't know this IRA lady, but if she's got cash she's gotta be a keeper for a hounddogger.

I just talked to my accountant Hal (who also works on my truck) and he gave me a rundown of my portfolio. We'd never heard of a 401K but figured it was a little bigger than a 30-06. Lucky for you I've got one of those I can send you. He told me the rest of my assets are liquid and should be easy to get my hands on. I've got a half a bottle of Windsor, another half bottle of Captain Morgan and most of a 30 pack of Old Style.

So get word to Hal and let me know when I can pick my dogs up. It's a steep price to pay but I can't wait to venture into hounding greatness.

On second thought maybe I should keep my liquid assets, it'd probably give me a better chance at IRA.
