Roy Sparks - April Fool

Post by Roy Sparks »

You guys are to much. First I get suckered by Tessa Fowler, then by all this vegetable eating BS. I'm going to check no ones raiding my kennels, then I'm going to kill me a beef, then I'm settling down to a huge medium to rare T- Bone steak then I'm tying my dawgs loose on all the neighborhood cats.

Then I guess all will be well !!

Buddy who's idea was it with all the green stuff ? Whoever it was had me checking it out anyway. Got to have my blood pressure checked now.

" Women and whisky made a horses ass out of me. " I guess so did you.

My goodness why dont we just chuck April next year.

Good for you sports.

All the best,

Roy Sparks.

Hi Tessa ,

Gee I really felt like a dumb ass. Cant believe I fell for it , but I was really " peed off ", thought the green brigade had vandalised the site. How about the one that says we must not eat meat !! Thought the monitors on the site were not doing their work or something.

It was that " B with an itch " covered in spinnach leaves that I clicked on to cap it.

I sent you an email last night , dont know if you recieved it ? I went to your website , I would like to know about that hound - Liam , in the one picture. He looks like a Redtick or cross , how is he bred. Also what hunters did you get hounds from down in the South West ? i believe I read about Jack Butler in Dell Camerons book " Call of the Hounds ". I am really struggling to find the older books on the Lee Brothers , the Slash Ranch Hounds. Do you have any contacts where I could source these ? I already checked High Lonesome , but nothing doing there.

Look forward to your reply.

Roy,

I am affraid I didn't receive your email. Liam is 3/4 Redbone and a 1/4 mixed hound (some heavy ticked blood) He was out of my Scarlett female and Red male. Scarlett is no longer alive, and Red is spending his senior years in CO hunting lion.

My Ozzy dog is the one with the breeding I like the most. He is 1/2 Piute Mountain Redbone from his sire Charlie and the other half is that blood that goes back to Butler's stock. I sold him a couple years ago to a guy in NM, but am planning on buying him back this month as he was my all time favorite hound. I have contacted another guy in NM that has a pup out of the Scarlett and Red cross and we are trying to arrange a breeding between the two.

as far as books go. I have read most all of them and the best place to find them online might be amazon.com. There are so many titles some I cannot even remember. I read quite a few when I used to spend my summers camped up on the mountain with the hounds. I liked the Zane Grey books and there was another written by some Gov hunter in NM. I can't remember the title. Mike Leonard would be the man to ask about the books. He is pretty keen on all that old hound history stuff. :)

Take care,

Tessa

Every Year I try to pull the wool over some of the new guys with that.. This year I would have totally forgot about it, except Tessa got me on her post this year..

I'm going to have to come up with something different next year.. I think Most on here already know about it..

Have Fun!

It would take quite a bit of money for me to have to look at those ads more than once a year.... Although I would probably consider taking some of there money and spending it trying to piss them off if I had the chance!
