bow-
i dont know about registering bear packs, but in the city i live in you have to register through the city. but if u live outside of town no registration is required as far as i know.
and as far as out of state hounds in montana, coons you should not have to do anything, cats you would just have to buy the lion tag to chase and kill, or your houndsmen trainning permit but that only allows you to pursue with dogs. u cannot kill a lion with a trainers permit. bobcats you should just need ur fur bearer licence. and as far as bears, its a crock of shit as far as im concerned but you cant run bears in montana. i cant answer any questions on any other states regulations because i just dont know

Re: hound hunting
We can't run bear in Colorado. Hound packs do not have to be registered.
Out of state are allowed. Many non-residents are very successfull with the hounds they bring.

montananative,
just so you know, in yellowstone county if you have more than 4 dogs you are supposed to have a kennel license. i dont know how serious the county animal control is about enforcing that law though.

can nonresidents run hounds in ontario
Re: hound hunting
hound training licence in MT is resident ONLY, out of staters have to pay the $390 for a kill tag even if they only want to train.
