I looked at the same system but they dont offer a tone with four dogs.I talked to sportdog and they told me in june they would have the new system with tone.but the price was the same as tritronics and you can run 6 dogs with tri. on the good note the collars are cheaper thru sportdog but i do like the pistol grip. good luck to ya

I have used one of these systems for the last few years. It has served it's purpose but I have had some issues with it. I got mine because I was able to get it for around 150 bucks on a clearance rack at the farm store (don't know why it was but I jumped at it) and at the time that was the deciding factor. They have stood beside their system but I have had to replace the controller as well as 3 collars through warranty and now i have three more collars that have problems. One of them the on off button is busted , the other one is cracked , and another the light isn't quite right. The four dog system is nice, the range is good, and they have plenty of intensity. I wish it had a tone fuction, the collars are a little big and the overall quality just isn't there. I have limped by this season, but after next week when our season is done. I'll start saving my pennies (instead of buying gas)and buy a tri tronics for next year.
