I have the classic 70 G2 exp and I've never wished it had more range. I think its 689 for a 4 dog system and I can't imagine the trashbreaker is that much better for the considerable additional cost. Just curious. Anthony
I have my dogs trained to come to the toner on their collars. This comes in handy when they are far off. When the hear that beep they come looking for me. Also in rough terrain the range is not as far as two miles.

i got the trash breaker 10 years ago and swear by it. my only complain is it was overkill for me, i dont need the 2 mile range.
if i want to zap a dog off of coyotes, i go to a field at night and shine for them. i spot a coyote and put my dog on a smokin hot track, as soon as he opens up and takes off choppin with all he has i zap em good.
that usually fixes em with a few little adjustment like this. works the same for all off game. off game to me is everything but bear.
im thinkin about getin the model 70 with extra collars this spring, because i dont need the range, thats just me.

When your hunting partner calls ya on the radio up the road and says they just crossed the road on a moose, deer, fisher or coyote quick push the button. Thats who uses it 2 miles a way.

You can also special order miltiple transmitters at the time of purchase from Tri-Tronics so that several (two or more) handlers can control all six dogs. Very handy if you want to split your pack and hunt seperately, have a split race, or any other situation where multiple handlers can benefit from being able to "tone" or "shock" a pack of dogs. Good communication (radios) and knowledge of the group of dogs being hunted is obviously required.

have couple of the tritronics trashbreakers have had good luck but usually only get about a 1 1/2 yr before having to send back for service but use them alot. As far as range never seen it work 2 mi in my area prob about 1/2 that or less depending on time of year.

Come on guys your no fun I was gonna tell him to save his money and buy Innotek then when after a month it don't work buy a radartron and then and only then will you know why TriTronics even says you'll pay a little more, will he be able to appreciate it like so many of us others.LOL Never seen a piece of equipment in the hound hunting industry exemplify,"You get what you pay for",more than shock collars.
best

TNT is correct on the multiple units. We will be sending a transmitter we've already purchased back in the summer so they can match another transmitter to it. Did have to break the first tackle and make it into the secondary on the phone with tritronics before they'd verify this for me a couple weeks ago. Phone representative said it couldn't be done. Back and forth pretty civil for a few minutes with the bottom line being she couldn't tell me why. When I asked her to speak to someone else she did get a bit snippy but did transfer me to an engineer who told me what I needed and that it would be no additional cost. If you talk out your arse please don't get snippy when your called on it!! UGHH, but they can and will get me what I want and are happy to do so!! Paul Conway.
