maine guide 01 Randy I,m well aware of what he was asking i understand the frustration of running cats in holes everyone that cat hunts has done it. I understand that his dog got quilled doing so and it cost him there is that chance that we all take everytime we release the dogs. ." he asked if there was a way to smoke them out and what to use ". I have asked the same guestion of alot of cat hunters and all said they have tryed it or knew someone that tried it and they all said they would not try it again because the cat will not come out I am sure if you did it often enough it might work at some point in some surcomtances i was mearly pointing out that i would not take the chance of harming anything that i could not retrive i never said he would just said i wouldn't and i said it was a waste .

Robbyson99 thank you for your responce on my post you asked a guestion and i tried to answer it i came to my opion by asking the same question i think you where only looking for some help with a problem running cats with holes anyone who runs cats in this state has cats that hangout near ledges and run cats into holes that they can not get at them as far as i am conserned if i cannot see it or retrieve it i leave it . good luck and keep trying Larry

thanks larry it was not your response that i was jumping on but just thought i would try to clarify that he and i were discussing this and felt that we might get some experience from people like you who have tried or well at least have thought of this and actually feel that we have learned from others on this topic and well we will continue to try but ran these cats again today and guess what they did something different again!!! we just are very well practiced with these and the area even if it is waste deep crusty snow if the dogs were running we were wading and also black and blueing our shins LOL but had a complete blast and full 4 hours of enjoyment!!?? and thats hunting in general again thanks larry for your opinion does matter and well i have so far taken your advice and feel you are someone i would ask and completely trust your response as accurate and well stated.

Not if the cats are in the ledges before you put the dogs down.
