I have to agree with what you all are saying.

I started out my voting career as a Democratic. I was young and stupid and thought giving my hard earned money to a bunch of people that do nothing to help themselves was a good idea. As I got older I matured and became an independent. I thought it was a good idea to be free to pick the best person for the job. As I got older still I found that I really am a conservative Republican. I have very specific ideas on what is right and what is Democratic.

I have issues with pressing 1 for English. I have issues with people coming to this country and dropping an anchor baby then taking advantage of a system they put NOTHING into. When I say stuff like that I am accused of being anti immigration. I am not. My mom and grandparents (both sides) were immigrants form Italy. there was no push 2 for Italian. My mom at 9 was tossed into a school system that made her learn to speak English. And she did without a trace of an accent. My grandfather came here by himself leaving his 2 year old baby and wife to make a life in a new country... Legally. He became a US Citizen and saved enough money to send for his wife and child 7 years later. Never took a handout from anyone ever! He worked hard. What a novel concept.

Obama said in a speech that we should all learn to speak Spanish. I think he is sorely mistaken. I will not make it easier for people entering this country illegally to make their way through our system. Welfare was meant to lend a hand to those hard working souls that fall upon hard times until they can get back on their feet. Somewhere down the road it became a way of life.

I have disliked some of the candidates through the years (Clinton most of all) but this is the first time I have been afraid. Truly afraid of the choice America has made.

Has anyone noticed that the worst of all the world leaders are happy with the choice of Obama?

We need another Ronald Reagan. Jimmy Carter twiddled and diddled with the hostage situation ....Reagan walked into the White house and the bad guys knew the poop was going to hit the fan for them.

Kiss your hard earned money good by. Taxes will go up. Kiss your guns good by, Obama is anti gun.

I have a list of reasons why I dislike the man but his color wasn't one of my issues until I read this. Look at the excerpts form our President elects books and be afraid.

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father:'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

Wow Sorry, I didn't meant to go off like at. LOL I love my country and I have always been very proud to be an American. I support our troops even if I don't agree 100% with the war. EVERYTHING JUST FEELS WRONG NOW.Image
