Kiss life as we know it good-bye!
I do not know about you guys, but I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when Obama was elected. I think it is more important now more than ever that we stand up for our rights as Americans. It is obvious that the liberal states got their way this time. I am so scared now that the house, senate and presidency are all liberal. This is bad, very bad! I do not know what else to say!! I just hope that America didn't make the biggest mistake of our lives.

I am not an Evangelical "Jesus Freak" as you put it, but I am a Catholic and what I see happening with Obama getting in is us losing every last ounce of moral fiber this country had left. What kind of message are we sending to our children when a person who admits he has used marajuana and cocaine can still be elected president. Not to mention one who does not have respect for our flag and the constitution. He is also against the traditional family and it's values. Let me tell you it is tough enough trying to raise kids in this world right now. I am scared to think of what it will be like in the upcoming years.
I bet the president of Iran, HUgo Chavez, and Raul Castro are happy as can be over this one. All I can say is we DEFINITELY need to protect our second amendment rights more than ever now!!

Kevin,
We didn't have to worry much about Clinton from doing too much damage when he was President as he was distracted and had other things on his mind.
Remember he did not have sexual relations with that woman.

Herbert Hoover made a lot of promises, too
During the Depression Herbert Hoover promised voters "a car in every garage and a chicken in every pot." And we all know how that turned out.
Obama and the "Socialist Party" exploited the weak among us by promising big government will solve all their problems. It will be interesting to see to what extent the news media will be able to cover for the "empty suit" they just elected.

The country will survive this, it has in the past as well.
The big question is whether or not the Republicans/conservatives can figure out a direction with in the party to stem the tide of the country going left. 60% to 70% of the young voters were for Obama and they had their candidate elected (not to mention 90%+ of the blacks). If those voters cannot be convinced that liberal ideals are bad business then we in fact may be in for a long spiral down ward.
The good news is that McCain nearly won Virginia, Ohio, Florida and Indiana, so it was not a blow out, which tells me there is still hope for the future!
I supported the Palin choice but in hindsight she was probably the wrong choice and actually turned too many woman voters away.

The main reason young voters voted for Obama is pretty easy. They DON'T have to pay for anything. Saving up for an Ipod (if Mommy and Daddy didnt' buy it for them) is a littler different than paying for all your own expenses. Once you start doing that, you realize the value of keeping a little bit of "your" money. Or at the very least more concerned with where it is going.
The liberal mindset is a disease that should (should being the key word) get cured by age and experience.
Go out buy an AR, a couple extra high capacity 10/22 clips, and your favorite semi auto pistol, cause you it might be a little tougher in the future when big brother tries ot protect us from everything "bad".
I agree with your theory on young voters to a point. Some of them will make the shift to a more conservative agenda as they mature and start to see things as a bill paying adult. Others though will need to be convinced of how the economy really works and the ability of the republicans to show that message will be critical!
Fortunately, we will have some warning before they come after our gun rights but I have no doubt that they will! They will eat away at them slowly but they will do otheir best to eliminate them completely!!

IF.....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Are you being a defensive woman??? never called you a Jesus freak now did I? Have we had a president lately that didn't admit to doing illegal drugs??? Seriously, aren't you over reacting just a bit? Why doesn't everybody hope for the best and look at the good that can come. I would hope that the new president has bigger problems to worry about than what guns are in your closet
