They look right slick.

I go by the old adage worms live on a 21 day cycle.
Worm, eggs hatch, worm, eggs hatch, worm, clean.

One tight wound dog had her hips showing before worming.
Her sister had a mattery stool.
Both are on full feed.
May need to loosen their collars.

I use valbazen as well to worm my dogs periodically. I was told to worm them 1 cc per 10lbs body weight for 3 days to get rid of all the adult worms. I have done it where I only did it 1 or 2 days and not the third consecutive day and had problems with worms still in a few of my hounds. Just my experience, ivomec is great for a dog, keeps them clear of heartworms, but if he hasnt been on it or heart wormed regulalry and has heart worms it will kill the dog, seen this several times. Vet told me ivomec does nothing to help rid dog of everyday worms, like hooks,rounds, etc.

i use a cheap pyrantal pomate from the vet, its made for humans and is like $20 for a quart, worm them 1 cc per 10 lbs on the first of every month and rarely every have a worm problem, maybe 1-2 dogs a year, and I have alot of dogs. I do valbazen a few times a year just in case, if done the 3 consecutive days valbazen does well on tapes too!

After reading the above posts should a person follow one or the other perscriptions of the quantity or can you do both to start out? ie 1. Start with the three days in a row 2. 11 days one dosage 3. 11 days one dosage.

Guess i need to purchase a microscope?
If i tested the stool myself or paid a vet to do it, i could say it works or does not.
All i know today is dogs look better than before.

Bought a bottle of safeguard, going to use it three days in a row.

Have used atguard hog wormer. Kills flys on fresh stool, not good for a dog with heartworms.

Unless a dog is on a daily cleaned kennel or elevated pens,
it is hard to prevent recontamination.
worm eggs can survive in the soil for several months or years.
