cold trail to the tree?
how many times have you guys or gals ever had a bob cold trailed to the tree? how were the dogs on the locate?

Never had it happen on a bob but we had it happend on a lion a couple years back and the locate wasn't worth a damn.

oh and the track at the tree was as froze in as when we started. sorry i forgot to mention that. yah the locat wasnt worth a damn on this one either. it took them a couple minutes to make a peep after the track ended.

I have had this happen a couple times over the years. The dogs new they were up but would never peg a certain tree they just kept circling trying to locate, I ended up being the tree dog. Both times this happen is was colder than heck cant figure out why the little buggers wanted to lay up. later, Andy

Ive had this happen 2 times on cat over the years and 2 dozen times on grey fox. The dogs had a tough time locating the cats but usualy nail a fox tree
