Re: Cali Bears???
I have a bunch of stories, pictures and video from this year. A bunch of them here in this section of the forum. I think season is over for us, the weather is terrible, and if it clears there is most likely gonna be too much snow to get around. Only 2 weeks left. It's been a good year here for us. I'm almost ready for a break (not! I will be counting down until next season) I guess I have to wimp out and take these sorry dogs of mine coon hunting.

Re: Cali Bears???
We treed a lot of bear this year with just our 3 dogs, most the time we only used 2. And a couple times it was just my one dog. Not bad for coondogs? LOL. Actually thats making coondogs look bad, I dont own a real coondog.
We also had fun and hunted with friends and family, haven't done that much in a few years. I'm at a point now where I seen what my dogs can do and feel comfortable hunting with other people and knowing they aren't just riding tails.
I heard were supposed to have a lot of hard rain, and tons of snow up high this winter. I don't see that happening, its already December and this is really the first good storm? Last year I had 2ft of snow here at this time. We aren't even forcasted to get snow for who know how long. I can do without the cold though. We had record lows, single digits here. That don't happen much in Cali.

No that was the way he looked and it was actually a short race too. He had pretty short hair.
Heres a pic of the second one we got.And my ugly mug.
By the way these bears's were treed with all coon dogs and my two were only contributors, there was other dogs as the starters and a whole group friends that helped

Re: Cali Bears???
Only 9 more months to go!
I'm really suprised season closed early again this year. Two in a row. I hope they don't try and do away with the quota this year like they wanted to last year. Just so they don't have to send us closure notices.
