Longest gestation period?

What is the longest gestation period anyone has had with a dog?
Mine showed all the signs but now a good week over due and nothing. I've checked her dog house for dead or abort. Now assuming was nothing at all but a long false or maybe aborted a couple of weeks ago maybe? Just wondering if anyone has had a dog go longer then the 'norm' and how long?

Check breed date. 63 days is normal. A few days either way is acceptable. A week is not right if she is truly pregnant and dangerous for the dam. If she acts healthy, she's probably open(not pregnant). If you care about your dog and you think she's overdue, take her to the vet for an x-ray.

Thanks. She's fine. I figured if she had any at all it was about 3-4 weeks ago and early and she did not gain much weight so first litter she may have ate them if had any at all though I really saw no signs of that. She's not stressed at all and temp is fine. I keep a close eye on her if any 'aftermath'...
but shows no signs of stress or infections etc...I know better but a little still 'wishful' thinking I suppose! Thanks again for the reply!

If the female was bred, from that date to birth is usually 63 days like was stated...and 3-4 days early or late is not unusual..
But here is 2 other things..
1) False pregnacy--all signs of carrying a litter(weight gain, making belly etc)even producing "milk" but no pups. the books will say that those very seldom will produce pups but that is not necessarily true.

2) I have an old female that was bred 3 times. never went into labor until 10 days late... all dead.. the next time was 3 days over due -trip to vet -c-section$$$ too late
3rd time on day 63 another c-section $$$ 2 live pups.

Thanks driftwood for your reply. I've heard a million dif. stories her first litter she could be late, etc... I've watched her like a halk but she never really grew a 'belly'--maybe slightly, then stopped and glands beginning to change, etc...is what made me begin to think she may have delivered even one or two and maybe dead and ate as I know some dogs will do. I'm still keeping a close eye on her but now 'milk' glands seem to be reducing. I have had her go through a false preg but never lasted as long. And it could be as much now. First actual try of breeding her so who knows?
Thanks for the info. It's good to know if I ever do decided to try again but I doubt it.
