Oregon Cougar Initiative

We need some "professionals" to get a hold of me asap about this cougar initiative. My email is jess@jessmessner.com. Send me your number and I will call you right back. We turned in the signatures and got a ballot title and summary. It is not exactly great but workable. We need letters faxed to the Sec. of State bebutting some to of the comments.

We need anyone that has a connection to the issue of Cougar hunting with dogs. Guides, people in Homeowners Associations, Humane Society members, ranchers, parents of small kids and whatever other connection there may be.

We also need someone very familiar with ODFW. I was told that there was a notice sent to all employees several years ago telling them not to publicly speak about the dogs and bears/cougars issue. This will be very valuable to our cause if you know anything about it.

Things are looking good for getting the dogs back in the fight!

I would assume your needing Oregon hound hunters to write in? You can visit the legislation section of this forum and see the response from the Humane Society to me. I think it covers all of their "battle points" quite well..........most of which are complete BS, and are not grounded in reality with our sport.
