Big Horn Posse Big Game Hounds

Post by Big Horn Posse »

Hi guys,

As most of you know back in 2006 I suffered a bad knee and hip injury hunting and slowly sold off my dogs. My hip is sound again, the knee still needs some work, but there is hope as the orthopedic surgeon that fixed my son's wrist last summer said I can get a shot in the knee for $200 that might work for me. It is worth a shot and $200 is better than $10,000 for knee surgery.

So here is where I am looking for some help on here. I have sold a number of pups and dogs over the years and as most of you know I really liked the line I had. I was curious if anyone had or knew of anyone that has any dogs out of my line that are breedable? I know runningredbones has Lola, Onza has Ozzy, a friend in UT has a pup out of the two of them and Brent Switzer has Sully. Those are the ones I have kept in touch with. If anyone knows of anymore out there out of Sandy, Scarlett, Lola, or Shawn Labrum's bitch Syreach whom I bred to Charlie in 2004 could you contact me? I am looking to get a pup this spring. If anyone is breeding anything out of my line I would sure like to get a puppy from my old line. If not maybe if someone has a dog from one of my litters for sale I may be interested in purchasing it back.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this. :)

Welcome back Tessa. I knew you couldn't stay away forever. I've still got Hooch that I bought from you as a pup. However, as you know, he was bit by a lion when he was 2 years old and is now blind. Still keep him around because he is such a great dog, great attitude and loves everyone. He decided he likes the couch now. He spends most days keeping the yard free of any varmint that decides to try his luck. Unfortunately, he is nuetered. Glad to see you're getting back in the game.

Dean,
Yep, I have been fighting the hound bug for 3 years now, guess that I why I never stopped coming to these forums. When I heard from the orthopedic surgeon about this shot in the knee it brought hope to what was before hopeless.

All the dogs I had by Charlie were such great hounds to be around. Guess that is why I am desperate to find something out of that line. Hooch is a littermate to Ozzy and he is the same way. Unfortunately both of the daughters (Sandy and Scarlett) that I had by Charlie are gone. I am so glad you kept Hooch around to be a pal. Some hounds no matter what age that have earned their place in life deserve a couch and our companionship in the years they have left. I really hope that I can run across one of my female dogs out there that is still breedable as I can always breed a female to Ozzy or Sully. I know Tony has Lola and he has bred her or was planning to. She was a grand-daughter to Charlie out of Sandy. I know there are a lot more out there, but not everyone keeps in touch like they say they will when they buy a dog or a pup. I hope in me posting this I will be able to re-connect to those who have and maybe get a pup out of it. :)

Thanks for all the support and friendship over the years :)
