Nice - could you list the components and what the total cost was?

Hey Catdogs, What part of Mt. ya from, I moved from the Butte-Whitehall area about 10 years ago? Any ways I used the canuk193 20 watt amp board, a TOA 610 speaker, and a 12volt sla 7amp hour battery, you could use a 4 or 5 amp hr. battery and it would be a little lighter and still last forever compared to the comercial callers. The box and I-pod I already had and bought a remote for the ipod but it only works for about 75 feet but still better than running a long cord for the speaker. Alot of guys are using the Nady 151 for the remote and it would work better but cost more, you can go with the mp3 player as well but if you want a remote you'll have to go with the Nady. I've got about 75 bucks in mine and I already had the box as well. It's a little bigger and heavier than a comercial one but a heck of alot cheaper and sounds really good. Mike

lepcur that looks amazing you really should market them things. How does it sounds? A buddy of mine read a story on making your own caller a few months back looks to be about the same set up as you got just not as nice. The only bad thing I seen with his was the sound when it was turned on and off would run any coyote out of the country. His also didnt have a remote and the 50 feet of wire sucked.

Thanks for the comps. guys. This thing can be really loud and it is extremly clear and crisp. I built it on a whim because I never had a electronic caller but now that I do I think I kinda like the mouth call better. If anyone would like to do some horse trading just let me know and maybe we can work it out. I have all kinds of sounds on the ipod. PM would be best as I don't check this section all the time. Mike
