Question on Lion Picture 5 Cats

This picture was sent to me from my Dad in an email. I have no clue about the true location of the picture. In the Email it said it was near Maupin, Oregon on a ridge above Deschutes River. I was wondering if this is another picture thats been around the internet for a while, that was taken somewhere else.

Ya know, I would like to know the truth as well. This pic was sent in by an anonomous source to our local paper, which is as liberal as you can get and still be a newspaper. Anyway they said it was taken up by the new mine that the treehuggers are peeing down both legs about. I know that country like the inside of my house and I called BS instantly. I would dearly love to write a letter to the editor and prove irresponsible journalism. They are all over supporting HSUS and no hound hunting. Please give me some ammo.

actually i was watching the local news this morning here in mew mexico and this picture was taken in the four corner areas. farmintion. they said the ladies name who took it but didnt catch it. there are several pics of them. so yes it is true

It was in the Sheridan news last week. I posted a link to the Sheridan Media site on here last week with the story. They said the pic was taken south of Sheridan, but no one really knows for sure.
