Re: new guy from wyo
Cool I am in Sheridan area. My line of dogs are grade as well. I started my line with Piute Mountain Redbone blood from Brent Switzer and crossed it with some old southern UT and AZ blood. I have bred these lines for quite a few years and that is why I asked what lines of Redbones you had. I stood my male dogs out to a few WY bitches over the years as well as bred my own. I got hurt awhile back and had to hang up my leashes, but am going to purchase one of my males back this month and have a female out of my lines I am looking at breeding to him, so hopefully I will be back in the game in no time.
Again welcome and sounds like you have quite a pack going.

Yes, I used to hunt them at least 4 times a week year round. Mainly lion and bobcat as I prefer to hunt on the mountain, but I started all of them on coon. I had a few that went to go run bear successfully as well. I like a multi-purpose hound.

You will come to find that it is ALWAYS a work in progress.
Hounds have a mind of their own most the time. Keep at it that is how you make a hound. Good luck
