Dog Tracking

Post by Budd Denny »

How many of you have seen this. I have had beagles and know others that have owned/had beagles that do this. I've seen some that grew out of it and others that had to be culled. Never seen it in the big hounds though cat/bear/coon hounds. What do you all think starts this and do you think it's a hereditary, and what do or would you do to correct it?

.

i guess ive seen it in all kinds of hounds-but alot more in beagles--

i think putting half grown pups out with fast ,full grown ,hounds is likely to make it worse -

i never did much of anything to correct it--with beagles ,if they start to do it --i run them alone alot -almost all dogs ive seen outgrew it --
when the tailgate drops
