Washed Out

Drove to South Texas to shoot an episode of Carnivore. Brian Hawkins, J. Martin Bassinger and I decided to meet in Tilden, TX at 6:00 p.m. and then go to the ranch near Freer.
When I drove up to Wheeler's Store, there were a total of four pickups with running dogs in them. I got out and met Mike Rooke, Hensley Weaver and Clifton Lyles. There was no doubt that I was in Dogtown, which is what Tilden was originally known as.
We visited a little and looked at each other's hounds and then split up. We headed south and they drove north. I hope the guys had a great hunt.
We did not turn a dog loose until the next morning and it was raining. Between showers, we jumped a cat that was really running and went over the deer proof fence. It rained the rest of the day. We got up yesterday morning, hoping to hunt until noon, but after running another cat through the high fence, got rained out. I loaded my gear and came back to the house, hoping to get back down there before it gets too hot to finish the show.
Adios,
Gary
