IMO....raw
Re: raw or cooked
bear should be cooked unless you have a perfect immunization plan in place even then why chance it? it's not going to loose enough value to justify the chance of picking up a disease or parasite. and beef if you KNOW where it came from and what it was exposed to could be feed raw or just let it dry and feed it jerked or smoked lightly mostly to keep flies off. if in doubt cook it

There is a small chance your dogs could pick up a parasite or something from uncooked meat however, I've personnaly never heard of a houndsman having this problem. I do cook mine but for a different reason. I grind up my meat and put it in those 1 lb. bags then freeze it. I probably have 100lbs of meat in my freezer at any one time ready to feed. It's very simple to pull one out, put it in the microwave for 5 minutes and its ready to go. One reason I like to cook it especially in winter is that it gives the dogs a warm meal first thing in the morning. Mixed with water to make a gravy, the dogs love it.

Re: raw or cooked
We had a dog get e-coli once from meat from the butcher in CO.
Other then that IDK. Dad always told me to cook eggs for the dogs, not to give it to them raw, he said it was harder for them to digest? I had heard of people doing it to make their coats shinier but IDK...
I have a wierd obsession with raw beef and raw eggs... I see it in the store or at home and I have to poke at it and my mom has to scream at me to keep me from trying to eat it lol... DON"T JUDGE ME!

Re: raw or cooked
beef is best served raw if you can verify the source. The protien structure gets altered when heat is applied and the dogs do better on this type of protien. I have always been told that the dogs can digest better than us.
