The dollar plunged today following a United Nations report which called for the greenback to be replaced as the global reserve currency by the International Monetary Fund’s special drawing rights (SDRs).

The dollar’s trend of moving inversely to the stock market has seemingly been snapped, with the Dow Jones falling over 100 points at one stage today. However, as soon as markets began to claw back losses, the greenback failed to follow suit, indicating that whichever way markets move, the dollar is in big trouble.

The UN report called for “abandoning the U.S. dollar as the main global reserve currency, saying it has been unable to safeguard value,” according to Reuters.

“A new global reserve system could be created, one that no longer relies on the United States dollar as the single major reserve currency,” stated the report, adding that this new system should not be based on a basket of currencies, but on IMF-controlled SDR’s.

Following globalist moves to restore confidence in the single currency euro in the aftermath of the Bilderberg and G20 meetings, the concern has shifted from sovereign debt issues of countries like Greece and Spain, to the worsening state of the U.S. economy and the risk of a double-dip recession.

In the immediate aftermath of the 2010 Bilderberg meeting in Spain, at which globalists resolved to save the euro from collapse in an effort to restore confidence in their ultimate goal of a global single currency, the euro began to make a recovery and today rose against the dollar by over 1.5 per cent.

A cascade of negative U.S. economic data was released today, with job figures turning sour once again.

“Jobless claims were a disaster, coming in at 472k, on expectations of 455k,” reports Zero Hedge. “The economy has now entered the “total freefall” area”.

The dollar is being targeted for destruction because the financial terrorists who caused the economic collapse in the first place want to exploit the crisis in order to institute a new global currency issued by a global central bank.

In May, IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn told elitists in Zurich Switzerland that the introduction of a global currency backed by a global central bank would act as the “lender of last resort” in the event of a severe economic crisis, another lurch towards fascist centralization of power in pursuit of a system of global governance.

Globalization itself is treason, it represents a takeover of the economy by offshore private interests. The implementation of global governance and a new global currency by these same criminals will be funded by the carbon tax that governments of major western nations are now trying to ram through, with Obama exploiting the BP oil spill for this very purpose.

As Gerald Celente explains in the clip below, all major currencies are doomed in the long term, which is why many European countries are beginning moves to revert back to their pre-euro denominations.

That's right. If you have you and yours right with the Lord Jesus, it doesn't matter what lies ahead. The worst case senario is you get to go home and be with the Father.

The journey may seem ugly, but with those with God on their side it can’t get any better, no more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow. In God we trust will always hold true as long as we hold true to the foundation of this country and our obligation as men/women to the plan set forth for this great country. We are coming up on our independence day and I hope that we all can see it as not a day off work, but as one of the most important days of the year. We can thank our fore father’s and those who have fought the battles to maintain our freedom despite the loss of some of our liberties. The stars and stripes will fly high and proud at my house and the fire works blaze brightly in the darkness on the fourth of July, that day July 4, 1776 is the true starting point of this country and those that believe in our independence as I do sacrificed freely without regret everything to be sovereign. We are a nation of patriots so when the time comes we will rise up as one voice and one nation to beat back who’s goal is to oppress us. Happy fourth and God bless.

Amen to all the above. Keep in church once in awhile at least. I tell my kids all the time whats coming ahead and remind them to pray. Hardest part is fighting that durned ol tv.

Can't speak for anyone else, but myself and my family will NOT rollover! Many of us have fought and died in defense of this country! The idea of a world government sickens me! OBama's goal is for everything to be "GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED"! Sound familiar? That goes against everything written in the Constitution! Like myself, my younger Brother enlisted in the US ARMY. He is currently in Iraq and has been for the last 9mo. He's not there fighting for a world government, he's there fighting for the US Government, which I'll admit seems to be almost the samething lately. We need to bring our troops home to preserve our way of life, but with Osama as president that not going to happen! I can't just sit back and watch our liberties being taken away. There is a right way and a wrong to do everything, but when plan A is no longer effective, then it's time for plan B. IMO!

Our nation certainly needs the help of God in these times. I happen to believe the Bible is God's word and is absolutley true. The endtime scenario that is revealed in the Bible will come to pass. However, I don't feel like that means that I should take a fatalistic view and do nothing to combat the direction our nation is going. Someof these things don't have to happen on our watch. I appreciate the comments of others on this forum and I think we need to be more involved than ever in helping set the direction for our nation. I don't feel like our hard won freedoms are in very good hands with the leadership we have now. We need to pray, but also keep our powder dry!

Absolutely agree. We should fight. I have made sure that my kids truely understand the constitution and what the founding fathers went through to ensure our rights. I also make sure they understand the importance of our military and how important it is to vote.

Pegleg, you have said this before and I can't read between the lines. Are those tools Guts and Guns or the voting system? Not sure what you mean?

Anyway, from my perspective, the voting system is flawed, our Gov't. is out of control and we are on the brink of a serious change. As I look back on the past, it is obvious that ever since the Vietnam War and Hanoi Jane's treasonous "freedom of speach", that the crystal clear "American Patriotism" has been severly eroded away. This new generation will only make it worse, because of the values they were raised with. Their values were taught to them, not by their parents, but by the television, the internet and violent video games. This past election was a good example. As a whole, our American morals and ethics have been comprimised and transformed.

On this grand and glorious day..."Independance Day", I sit and reflect back on what our forefather's did and the sacrifices they made to create the greatest political system and the finest country in the world. It was a huge and monumental feat. As I look around me and take a mental poll on the" LEGAL" US citizens between the ages of 16-25, I shudder to think of the amount of collective Patriotism amoung them. I do not think there is enough at this point to get the job done.

I remember back in 1972, when during a TV interview, the then President of the USSR, flatly stated that the US should not be worried about the cold war and the possible threat of the USSR. He said "that America wil be destroyed from within by the television". He was a profit. Just look at the 3 generations of anti-hunters that the TV and Walt Disney spawned. Apply that process to our political system and look where we are today.

The love of money, execessive power and corruption because of eroded moral values and ethics are now driving this country. This country is at a crossroads and the drivers are lost.

At any rate, today we need to pay our respects to our fallen soldiers, thank our war veterans and enjoy the fireworks...
