Looking for some suggestions. I am new to the site and this is my first post.
I currently have a patterdale/bulldog cross and have been hunting him on coon (in season).
I hunt some property that has a lot of Bobcats on it and I am thinking about cutting him loose on one. I am not sure if he will tree but he seems to have a half decent nose. I come across the bobcats all the time so he would be let loose on a super hot track.
I am in California so I know that the GPS tracking systems are not legal. Here are my questions:
1.) What other options are there and how do I fit one on a 24lb dog?
2.) I also know of a few others who run the garmins anyway. What do you all think of this?
I am really just getting started on hunting fur with dogs and plan to possibly add other dogs to my pack in the future. I currently hunt with my buddy and our pack of patterdale & pattedale crosses
Thanks for the input,
Mike
