Dogo argentino

Post by beaglewalkerhunter4 »

I have been doing some reading on this breed and it sounds like they're hell on a hog, big and powerfull. Would hunting them on bear be death sentence, could they be to agressive for bear? has any one ever tried them on bear?

aggresive as long as they are smart and in the same company should be fine, but why reinvent the wheel when the king of bear dogs has already been created and considered by many to already be too aggresive?

unless there's another dog around they sure aren't! But yer right, running back to the road and hiding under the truck would not be considered more aggresive for sure.

Neither is he dumbass! He said he has researched them in their hog hunting application and is asking about using them for bears. Go back and get your GED then start your HSUS witch hunt. And if we're gonna keep it on your wavelength, you live in IOWA, WTF are you doing on a big game board! I bet you are undercover HSUS!

Hey regan, how bout you get the facts before you jump to conclusions you idiot. I have been a member for two years on here and am certainly a hound hunter. I have also given presentations around my state explaining to others the curroption of hsus. and Im only 16 so I can't really choose where I live. And I'll bet I'm the woods more than you anyhow, so next time keep your mouth shut  Anyway, has anyone hunted with one?

some days its hard to tree a bear with hounds speed gets em treed were are u lookin to run some by your house if so might be easy to tree them there fat lazy and i think no huntin season up in maine i think it would be impossible bears always run uphill in maine guys with dogos usually run hogs with a hound or cur and send them dogos in to catch if you go bear huntin with someone you will figure it out i hear there are ferel hogs by you that might be a option good luck

IF i were going to run dogos on bear, i would import some bred by argentine cazadores (hunters). i wouldn't bother w/american bred stock as most aren't hunted and those that are mostly only used as catch dogs.
i would want to have plenty of them (you're definitely going to lose some) and i would try to make sure they all had as near identical speed as possible.
