training my walker pup

I have a five month old walker pup that i am training with a coon drag and he is doin great. do yall think it would be alright if i let him run a rabbit every now and then??

its good to start them off with small game. it gets them "game minded"!

me and a friend go back n forth on this one . he lets his run a bunch of stuff , i say if you want a coondog train it on coons . why confuse them. he is always pissed off he is having trash races . i say o well you trained them that way . keeping them strait is hard enough .jmo i do train my pups on coons if there born at a time where they wont get to go bear running for a whole season and yes it causes problems . you dont want them going stale either.
