Idaho coon hunters please read
Just wanted to shed some light on a seemingly confused topic. I've met too many people now who don't know, or choose to ignore this rule. On page 36 of the current furbearers brochure it says "No person hunting raccoon at night shall: Hunt from a motorized vehicle." I called and talked to a warden, (not the front desk gal) for clarification. I was told this rule means NO RIGGING, NO ROADING, NO SPOT LIGHTING FROM THE TRUCK for coon at night. The way I see it this means free casting and pursuing on foot is the only legal way to hunt coon at night. Aparently this rule has nothing to do with coon, its a way to stop people who say they are "coon hunting" but realy targeting other game they shouldn't be targeting at night. Just wondering what you all thought about this and if you know of any other legal ways to hunt coon at night. I have a bad back and knees so pursuing on foot can be difficult but it is the only way I do it.

Does the bike have a motor.
I like that idea, might have to look into getting a mountain bike. Thanx Radar.

I would use a non motorized boat and float down the river if I were you. Have a pickup parked at a designated boat ramp.
