anyone every caught a pine marten. i think i might have seen one once but not sure. im very curious about the little critters that seem to be just as alusive if not more than a long tail.

They are out there, and are easily caught . All you have to do is find them .

Used a big enough trap, that must be a #4,was you setting for wolf.

Dont know if we have any here in California or not, wish we did would be fun to trap one if it was not on the not allowed list here.

That was a bobcat walk through set . I believe that was a #2 Victor Professional off set . Yep . My usual set is a pole set with a #1 longspring like in the top photo . Those marten love fox and cat sets though .

Wev'e got tons of pine martin here in northern maine . Not sure what the fur value is worth though

ya i think thats what the forest service dudes are tracking when their standing outside there truck holding a yaggi with a look on thier face like they just tried to do an unsolvable math problem. cool pics thanks for the comments

More then likely they are track your hounds. Seen lots of DFG and forest service in the woods this yr with tracking boxes and they were pointed at hounds not Martens.

I think you might want to read over Tom's post one more time what he said was "We even have Fishers" nothing about them being Fishers.

I read it just fine I was askin if they were fisher cuz I think one in the picture is...
