Re: tips for training
here's an old familly recipe. find one fresh lion track in good snow. add young hounds while stirring up a bit. follow track keeping pups interested and honest and find it where they loose it. keep pups leashed if needed, sometimes it makes em want it more. repete process until treed.
alot of people probably have better training methods, but this is what has worked for me time and time again. my first ever pups I had I waisted my time with cages and drags and when it came time to put them on game they were no farther ahead than if I would have started them on the real thing in the first place. some people will have to cull until they get one that naturally wants to hunt when using this method. I hate waisting four or five years getting a dog to start when theres dogs that will naturally start as a pup. have fun and good luck, Jared.

"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.
