What type of animal are you wanting to catch? When you say running dog do you mean non treeing?

Wouldn't have a pack[of say 4 dogs]without at least 1 dog that's a 1/4 to 1/2 running dog in there.I prefer Trigg's over the others--good conformation, tough feet, recover from races faster, and most of all have track savy on catching game.Treeing can be an issue, but good track dogs know when the track ends-henceforth usually a locator, even though they might not say much at the tree, some do some don't.

Well I just bought my first true cat dog from dewey waldon. Very excited!!! Just through visiting with him I have learned a little about running dogs. I know he likes , I believe, the july hound? so out of curiosity I am wanting to know what other people like and don't like. So the more posts the better.

Thank you

Kyle
