I have noticed that this stock of hounds have plenty of drive.....some time back I got a female that was past 4 never out of a small pen.. did not take but 3 hunts to get her firing!
sadly when I bred her she did not have any milk--- raised 3 on a bottle then....

I think you will find plenty of speed when you get him on the real thing.

driftwood, i have owned alot of breeds of hounds,some good some bad and a few that were great-to me.. but i will be looking in a year or two for another old school all blue,he has a nose,drive,voice,excelent temperment etc etc,i just love him.i still have just his puppy papers,can't wait to send them off and get 7 gen ped,thanx again.bobcat and lynx look out your on the hitlist !!!

This is not a silver mist hound--The only silver mist hound is one born in Bob Mattschecks hennel. This hound qwas bred elsewhere

Which hound is not a Silver Mist hound? The Silver Mist Donna that is in the pedigree of one of these hounds posted? Not that it concerns me, I'm just confused.

I really don't have a care either way.. but on those papers it says Silver Mist Donna and she goes back to other Silver Mist dogs.. I don't know who or what Silver Mist is.. But all he had said in the original post is the name of the dogs.. I see Silver Mist on there..

Like I said.. I really don't care, but someone said they didn't see any Silver Mist on there.. No if someone named their dogs Silver Mist and they are not.. Then.. well.. that's that LOL

if a hound has one or two silvermist hounds in three to four generation ped. it does not make it a silvermist hound.it is like saying you have sugar creek hounds for sale, when they have one or two hounds that go back to harry o smiths great line of hounds. i have no time for people who think they know it all. if everyone out who loves these old type of blue hounds would learn how to get along and find a way to save these great hounds it would be for the best. i have followed these hounds since the early 80s and have seen them bread right into the ground. i have seen a big turn around out of colorado and utah, you boys up there keep up the good work. barry,dave,mike,sonny,richard,etc the hounds you boys are producing look and hunt like they use too. if you need help trying to find a good old type bluetick or majestic feel free to give me a call i would be glade to help. rob 559-641-6897
