BIG FOOT that is very nice of you. It's people like you who make a good impression on the younger crowd, glad to see you are doing a good thing. You should make three kids very happy, I hope they appreciate it as they should and realize people like yourself are few and far between. Good job. DC.

Where the red fern grows is a great read for any child and has a great message. I don't know if schools are still reading it as required reading or not? It is nice of you to want to send this movie to a few young kids. I would also recommend to the parents that they buy the book written by Wilson Rawls Where The Red Fern Grows, prier to watching the movie. It is a good family thing to do together.

it should be mandatory for all kids to read, not just for the hounding aspect but alot of kids these days dont have a passion like that for anything except the xbox.
bigfoot this is awesome and i'm glad to know theres good folks out there still.

Re: Coon Hunting Movie
Could be that kids have access online or otherwise and don't need the movie. Just guessing. I know my kids and grandkids have all seen it. I hope its that and not just disinterest.

This is a great idea. The next time I'm at walmart, I'm going to check and see if they have any of these movies and do the same. Lets keep this going!

That book is my all time favorite. I also have the DVD.
Bigfoot, not to take anything away from Biggamehoundsmen, but the UKC forum has a "For Youth hunters only" section. You may have some takers over there. Plus, they seem to be more into coon hunting.
