pup learning really quickly

Post by lioncommander »

i got this pup she is a year old i have been running her with i great hound named cannon. went out tonight and tuffy was barking just cause she could and than she stop after a bit. Got down a little ways and she started to bark after about one minute. I thought that she may have something so i lisened and waited. than i heard a low belllow that i new wright than she did , cause cannon was going full fource. Me and a buddy started to head there way at the same time. They both were four hundred yards to the north.
On the way in had to crose the irgation river. when i was crossing the two by four i see a leg trap and i deer dead next to it. I was bad about the deer but glad my dogs did not get caught in the trap. soon as i got across i flashed back with the light so my buddy could cross.
Got to the dogs and they had a coon in a ten foot high tree. So i was letting the just have fun baying at the coon and watch has the coon was wondering what is happening look. My buddy and i grab the coons tail. Than when i went on the other side to leash they dogs up. The coon had enough he bailed, cannon was quick to get on him and tuffy was wright behind.
Made for a short fight, good way in my opion no dogs roughed up. I think the coon was eating the carcause and the dogs smelt him her ran and made it 20 yards to the tree and the dogs were on his but.

P.S. i got pics and video will be on soon.
