bobcats in feb. and march?
It always seems this time of year things get interesting. I know its breeding time and expect the toms to be traveling. But i sometimes have trouble finding tracks in my best spots. Do the females cover that much more ground also? Two weeks ago, we had good snow and cats didnt move for two days, and although i have seen that a few times the last couple years, it is rare. Usually only happens when its really bad weather and that wasnt the case this time. Anyways im still a rookie at this and just wanted to hear what everyone else thought.

The cats have started to slow up a bit around me. I think many of the females have been bred. I have not seen as many of the big males crossing the roads lately either. They got pretty easy to catch for several weeks also. I think their getting tired from humping for twenty hours a day. I have not been running the old ladies as much because I don't want to catch them on the ground. I can't run a dead one.
