bear down may 1st

Well my buddy is camera shy so no pics sorry . After bringing my bear home I think my hounds figured they had something to prove. So when my other buddy called wanting to take his hounds out I said sure.

Went into shawnigan at 7am when the gate opened headed to an area that I found a ton of crap a couple weeks or so ago. Like usually mother nature waved her wand and it was all gone, and so was my buddies faith momentarily.

Dropped max and maggie and his two hounds and headed down the hill towards the creek. Half way down both my hounds catch a sent max commits instantly and maggie is close behind with my buddies two hounds right behind them. The whole chase I could hear max out in front followed by maggie ( who is his mom ) and the other two bring up the rear, all the sudden max bay changes. Treed nor sure doesn't sound right get down the hill and their off again, across the creek and half way uop the hill, max is definitely treed and holding Maggies there two and so the little female but wheres the big walker.

Well buddy harvest a nice boar CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BEFORE SHOOTING AS A BOAR. Head down to the truck to water the hounds and find the one thats probably at the truck. Nope he s not there, water the dogs loaded um up and headed back to the last knowen location about 30 yards from where we got the bear. Just before he shot he spotted the big dog go over a rock so we headed up and you will never guess where this dog was heald up.......

Baying away at nothing. My buddy crawls in scared poopless thinking theres another one, but nope theres his pooch curled up in the den barking waiting for us to come get him.
