I dunno, but I'm having a hard time believing the dude's story, at least how it was reported. A cougar attacks and goes for the man's lower leg?? C'mon now, since when did lions start going for the feet and not the head or neck?? If anything, cat claws to the calf injury sounds more like a defensive wound to me.....the lion warding off a perceived threat.

Yep, something just ain't quite right about this story.

that's kinda what I was thinking. this guy is just makin it look like the lions are running ramped and bringing some un needed negative attention toward lions. watch for a tag increase in that unit.

his story seems to if and buts to me sinking the claws in his mid leg cats dont attack that low ...neck or even the spine to paralyze ya first then kill ya .too fishy to me thats why they havent found it yet it didnt happen or he was messin with it ,just as i thought .The man chased the cat into a neighbor's backyard and called authorities. WANSHIP, Utah (AP) -- —

Wildlife officials are using dogs to track a mountain lion that attacked and injured a Wanship man in a residential area.

Phil Douglass of the state Division of Wildlife Resources says the man was working in his driveway alongside a fence in Wanship on Friday when he turned to see the mountain lion behind him. Douglass says the man kicked at the mountain lion, which then swatted back and punctured the man's foot with one of its claws ..

I think you guys are way over thinking this, if I was the cat and someone kicked at me I would grab to closeest part.
