Folks all of us here on BGH have been truly blessed to have "South Texan" join us!
He is a very good friend of my Dad and Shorty. He will become your friend here as he shares the Worlds of knowledge about Bobcats and the kind of Hounds that end two or three times the number of Races successfully each year that we do. Go back in the Bobcat Archives and read about him in the Story that I wrote on the South Texas Cat Hunters Gathering.
He is one of the Fellows in this Picture. Its original caption was "The number of Bobcats caught in the last 50 years by the men pictured here would staggering...it would be in the thousands"
South Texan is one of the Houndsmen/Hunters that Hipshooter talks about that compile the unimaginable numbers of Cat for anyone from the New England Region or WI or MN. While he is blessed with a high density of Cat, he fights some of the toughest conditions for Hounds to be found and has to have darn GOOD ones to be successful.
A Houndsman of the Highest order is what he is as not just his Bobcat Hounds show his prowess, he has the top Wounded Animal retreival Hounds to be found anywhere!
And to boot he is one of the finest Family men that we know of....a truely World Class individual.
As Gary knows this fellow well, I sure hope to see him on an episode of Carnivore!

Re: South Texan
South Texas is sure 'nuff alright but you sure have to watch his older Brother! I hear it is so wet in Dilley that the watermelons are floating in the fields.
