BGH Youth Program

Post by Buddyw »

Folks, I've been really busy Between Work, the bussiness, and the new Young ones.

I would like to find some folks, either by force, or Choice to gather together and submit a couple voices to build some type of Youth Program for this site.

Idealy in my opinion there would be 4-5 Guys that would brainstorm and Come up with a couple proposals for us to vote and try to make at least One of them come true.

I'm willing to set up an area that those guys could post and discuss, and Go back and forth for the details to come up with something..

I think there are a ton of different Directions and Idea's this could go.. Take a kid hunting, Houndsmen Scholarship, Help a Disabled kid get inthe woods..etc. etc so we really need a small group to come to a consensious and widdle all the ideas down to one that we can make a success. Doesn't have to be a grand idea, But something that we can build off. '

So here it is.. Let's come up and select a group of people here that are willing to try and put some wheels on this project..(Lord knows I'm way to busy and have quite a few irons in the fire, so If it relies on me it's sure to be a failure..) I know most Houndsmen people hate the spotlight, but if you know someone Good that is active on the site, throw them under the bus and nominate them.

We have some money now from the Twist Raffle, and I'm sure we can get some more if we have a Plan.

Buddy I would be more then willing to help out with this. I have 3 kids and they are everything to me, Yes even more then my hounds and hunting. I really feel that are youth are what its all about and if we can keep them in the woods hunting you dont have to worrie about drugs and gangs or most of that other crap kids get into when they are bored. Buddy I know we talked about this a little and I'm willing to help out on it to. I've been busy as well. But we can't let that be a excuse as everyone's busy. So I'm all for it and think its our duty to our sport to do all we can to see as many youngsters get involved as we can. Build positive memories and spread them as far as possible help our voice and the kids at the same time. We need to make sure they experience the sport the way its meant to be not anything less. I lean towards a mentor ship program with as much help for other needs as we can put together

Hey everyone interested in helping get this going PM me your ideas and contact info there's no reason to let this go stagnant. Its only the youth and our sports future that will be hampered by our inactivity
