SD card slipping

Post by Melanie Hampton »

Does anyone have any issues with their SD cards slipping out of place? Mine does it seems once or twice a hunt and I lose my maps.. I still have the dogs and my path.. just no map..

I bought my Garmin used and it had the mini SD in it already.. I'm sure it's the correct size and everything.. but I'm wondering if it is the card slipping (I'm pretty sure it is) or something else, that is just coincidence that I'm getting my maps back when I pull the batteries out and wiggle the card..

It's getting a bit annoying :)

That little metal piece that covers the card will slide down a bit to lock the card in.

I slide the lock up and have still had it slide back and lose the map on several occasion. It is easy to just slide it back but still a hassle. Dewey

Thanks.. I am going to double check and see if I have it locked or not.. I don't think I do.. I have put a folded up gum wrapper over it and with the batteries in, it seems to help hold it in place :) Maybe if I keep the gum wrapper in there AND lock it ;) it will stay where it is supposed to...
