radios used for bear hunting

[code][/code]I was wondering if anyone out there knew if or where i could find a 25 to 50 watt linear for a vhf marine band radio i use for bear hunting ive looked several places with no luck

They make kickers for vhf but they cost alot of $$. You can get 65-85 watt radios that are opened up for a couple hundred bucks, get on ebay and you'll find them. Mike

Hey lepcur,
what radios are you refurring to as of 85 watts? I run the alinco dr135 and have to clip a wire to get the vhf

Buy you a ham radio (i run an icom 2200-65watts) and have it clipped.It will then transmitt on marine freqs.
