gum in hounds foot?

my hound steped in gum last night on some state land, its right in the middle of his foot stuck real bad in the hair. anyone have any ideas on how to get it out? i know its gum because it smells minty. lol crazy dogs, never know what there going to get into. thanks for any advice!

You're talking about between the pads in the hair right??

When it happened to my dog I just used some scissors and cut the hair it was stuck to and it seemed to be just fine!

my wife says use peanut butter on it and it will come out does it in my girls hair all the time.
