Which is better, a silent dog or a open mouth dog? What would be best for cat hunting here in NC, SC, KY and area.

if the open mouthed dog moves the track fast then the open mouthed dog . but if it is a track straddeler u will have a hard time gettting the cat jumped. u can have both and the silent dog will suprise the cat and pop it up. to catch cats u need to suprise them or keep enough preasure on them to get them tired. if a dog is opening alot and not moving the track fast enough the cat will just keep walking and never get tired . when the silent or tight mouthed dog get right on them annd suprises them that is when u get your pop ups. jmo i run a mixer of simi open to silent untill jumped dogs . with 7 dogs out there there is plenty of music but they are only opening when they are on the track . if they are opening off track or behind they get shocked . with a garmin in one hand and tritronics in the other its like playing a vidio game.
