bobcat population

Does anybody know what the bobcat population is like in the western part of va? I've seen bobcats killed in VA,none with dogs though. I've been thinkin bout givin it a try. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say for sure but here's some guide lines. If you see bobcat occasionally in different spots "not the same cat". Your numbers are most likely very high take terrain in account. Even the odd sighting designates good numbers. I've found most areas have good stable numbers and most are higher then expected. If theirs good cover and feed they move in and stay.
