That's nice and out of the way - well, kind of. I like to keep my rear window available, but mirrors do work, but I also like to keep the bed of my truck available - can't have both. Looks like you've found your compromise.
Yeah those cat tracks are cut out of the doors and i will probably cut a few more out on the sides but its so cold here the warmer the better in the winter

years ago i had a buddy slap together a plywood box that was about 3wX4LX2T and didn't put any vent holes in it one door and straw bedding 3 dogs. We started on a bear and the dogs were picked up in the road after only going 3or4 miles.(he didn't have any good dogs) but he threw them in the box and i remember about 2 hours later him opening the door to that box and steam just rolling out and the dogs trying to pile out as fast as possible. This was in snow and i learned a lesson from that day.

How well do the doors open when you have your sled loaded? It looks like you have to get into the bed to open the doors then the dogs crawl over the hood to get out? I am with outlaw not near enough vents. what is the box built out of? The tracks do look pretty cool.
Well i am a tall bastard so yeah i can open the doors from the ground and why would you ever need to open the doors with the sled loaded, ushually the sled is out of the truck hooked to the other box and ready to go up the trail and really i have a sled trailer so i don't put it in my truck much more and yeah i may drill some vents but i don't think in california you guys run in 5 to 10 below most the season.

Your right sometimes i don't even get to go hunting because i am too busy catching a wave with my surfboard or something lol. When i do go i don't use a dog box my dogs will rig through the vents in my convertible and then i just let the top down. I didn't mean to get you bent dude i was just saying. lol.
It is a nice looking box and a lot better looking than mine happy hunting.

You didn't piss me off, I just figured i would make a joke out of it. You were right i don't hunt in super cold weather, but We have had two pretty good storms and the last one made about a foot of snow where i am hunting and it is still holding up there and the temperature is only about 12 degrees when i leave my house and it heats up to around 35 by mid day. It is just the start of a cold long winter that is going to get colder. The bears seem to have extra fat again this year partly to everything like, berries, acorns, and pine nuts making good but i think it is going to be a long cold winter again for me this year. Hopefully i won't get snowed out. Good luck and happy hunting.

PChaser........You had a similar box that was either aluminum or diamond plate a while back that was pretty king. You should post some pics of it and if your still making them let me know,
