Coon hound on yotes.

Does anyone use a dog for both? The dogs "trashed" on a yote the other night and caught it, made me think about trying to run them on yotes during the day. Anyone that runs the same dog on both do you have a problem with them wanting to run yotes at night when your trying to coon hunt?

in my experiance if you let them run yotes in the day there will be no way to stop them from trashin on yotes at night .

out of all the hounds i`ve owned over the years, i`ve only had 1 that would run coon at nite and never touch a yote. now during the day he would run yotes all day long. i will add he was a straight coondog for his 1st 6 yrs. of life.

i had a hound mutt that would run both, if he showed tree he was on coon, if all we saw was a smoke trail then we knew he was on a yote
