Cameron Hounds on Hogs

Post by Texas Boar Collector »

Anyone ever ran any Cameron Hounds on hogs? I'd love to hear some stories and see some pics of your Cameron's whether your using them on hog, bear, coon, or cat.

Thanks

For lions in my option is really what they are breed for. They seem to just naturally want to run cats more than anything else. I posted some pictures of some of my pups a few weeks ago on this site. JTG

My Cameron hounds have been used on hogs quite a bit. No catch dogs needed!

Go look at 12Gauge's photos on here somewhere, he uses his on hogs, although they arent full Cameron, they are Minisink bred but they seem to do good for him. I think you wouldnt need much else and they would actually shine on hogs, I can see that having them open on an old track would be a problem though and you would have to check them on that to keep them on the hot tracks.
