This is a bluetick female that has a serious eye infection...local vet has never seen anything like it before, has little idea of what it is or has caused the problem.
She has been on oral ( Nova -Lexin 500 mg twice a day ) as well as IM antibiotics for just over a week and eye meds, (Metacam / Gentocin Oph.Sol / Voltaren drops ) does not seem to be getting any better.
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

Re: Eye Infection !!!!
Don't know if it will work the same on your dog as it did mine but it cheap put 2table spoons of local honey in to 2 cup hot / boiling water (has to be hot enough to break the honey down). Let cool to room temp. Flush out the eye with it two to three times a day my dogs eyes looked 3 times worst then yours. the next day I could see it clearing up by the 3rd day gone. Don't know what my dog had but most the time I will play doctor before I go to the vet if I think I can fix it.
