Either at wct(garys) or chucks house! That's up to out hound council president, an last I heard nobody has a clue yet! Part of the reason we have little to no people helping I know. Just trying to help get the word out.

Re: hound council meeting!
Ill post this for the council secretary since its his job to set. up the meetings and not the presidents job. The meeting is at chuck's shop.
Re: hound council meeting!
So there will be an address posted? How many showed last year and does anyone know what were the main topics discussed?

Re: hound council meeting!
If there was a meeting and an election, does any one know who was elected for what?
I should have been there but the last couple I attended where completely about field trials and I don't have a whole lot of interest in those right now.
Thank you, and thanks to those that attended.
I haven't visited the Hound Council website in quite some time, I will try to look there.

I understand you not having intrest in field trials, but we need to get people involved that have other objectives. Right now the majority of people who are active, are people who like the events! For that to change we need people to show up an help out. As for the elections everthing is the same.

Re: hound council meeting!
i get tired of hearing how no one wants to be involved with field trials and water races... we cant stick together on anything! this is not just directed at george... but i have been hearing about this alot latly, ever one wants change but dont want nothing to do with the events that are put on by clubs. they dont want ot be known as " field trial guys". the funny thing is, all the guys i know that are putting them on hunt just as hard if not harder then most guys that dont want anything to do with the events. they just decide that 9 months of hunting isnt enough and during the "off season" they still want to be doing somthing with there dogs, and try to help out the local clubs and raise money. Again, not trying to single out any one person on this, just my opinon

Re: hound council meeting!
I know it wasn't necessarily directed at me. To be clear, I have nothing against field trials, and I am not worried about being considered a "field trial guy."
I try to pay membership dues at a couple different clubs. Speaking of that if Catdog360 or someone could get me the address to send my dues for LCSA, I would be glad to do that. I have traveled to several different clubs to check them out and meet people, some times involving a 3 hour drive each way. I have attended several commission meetings and would be willing to do more. Just like many other people I have met along the way.
Here's my take on the problem at hand. There is not a lot of organization. I from time to time stumble onto a meeting but most of us are running fairly busy lives and the meeting may be over before I even know about it. I would have been glad to attend the last Council meeting, I haven't seen Chuck in a couple years. I would be willing to help recruit people and attach email addresses to a news letter or something. Get me a list of hound council members and I will sit down and call each of them in the weeks prior to a meeting. We need to get club lists and make sure to get contact info while taking dues. We can go over old membership lists and try to contact people and recruit them back into a club. I have a list of hound guys and numbers sitting here and would be glad to pester them, but when we have attended Hound Council meetings it was 2 hours of talking field trial rules, some of are just not that interested in that. Lets try to appeal to the masses, which is hunters.
Please don't take offense, I am not trying to trash talk any one. And I again thank everyone that contributes to trying to better our hunting opportunities.

Sorry George, I have no part of any of these clubs. Plotted/Walker can get you the info.

Re: hound council meeting!
we will be calling all of the old/new members of lcsa in the next week or so, to ask them what topics they would like brought up at the next feb. meeting. we will start with the most common issue and work our way down, we are trying to make sure we have a agenda at the meetings so they dont turn into a 2 hour water race discusion, i agree that orginazation is just about the #1 thing you need in a club, hope this is at least a step into that direction. it would be great if you could get ahold of any one that may have some input they would like brought up to the club. or give me thier #'s and i can call to see what they have to say.
Thanks
Thanks
