I'm guessing you broke the antenna connector on top of the astro. If it's still under warranty send it back to garmin. If it's not under warranty there is a guy in Florida that fixes them, they do a good job at a reasonable price.

Re: what is wrong with my Garmin??
10-30 yds tells me that the unit was damaged by a high powered radio. Broken antenna connection will go in and out. When in you may still get full range as it makes contact. Out you get nothing. Unless very close. A connection you could fix yourself if the board was not broken. Damaged by high powered radio needs to be replaced by Garmin. They do not sell the parts to repair them. Most antenna connections are nothing more than the solder breaking loose. A bit of a pain to open the unit, but easily fixed when done.

The guy in Florida can fix any problem you are having with your 220. He's cheap and has a fast turn around time. His partner in KY fixes them also.
Me and a few guys I hunt with have sent our out of warranty units to them.

If I remember right I paid around $60.
Give him a call he'll give you a 'estimate' on what he thinks is wrong with it.
