DC40's?
DC40's?
I know there were significant issues with these collars when they first came out, but was wondering if Garmin has resolved the problems. I need two more collars soon but am not interested in spending the best part of $500 if there not dependable.

Re: DC40's?
Yes, there were issues when they first came out. Which most likely is what spurred Garmin to put a field tester program into affect. There were 2 issues with them. First there was a software issue. That was corrected. Then it was found out there was an underlying issue that could not readily be seen until the first was corrected. That was a bad antenna which was prone to breakage. That has also been fixed now.
Regardless there will be some that will never get over the initial bad rap the collar got. So be it. just be ready to open your wallet for a used DC30.
