Post by houndnem »

if I have rechargable batteries in my 220 and plug it in to my 12v charger will it recharge the batteries or just over ride them?

Regular double AA rechargeable batteries need to be taken out of the 220 and put on a special charger. You can get those at Wal-Mart etc. for like 10 bucks.

I'm pretty sure trying to charge the garmin with a regular 12v charger could damage it.

I'm no expert but this is what I know, right or wrong

Jared,

It just overrides them just like with regular batteries. Can't charge in unit.
